Restrain Crime Against College Students
I learned the hard way that it was important to prevent crime against college students. Someone close to me was attacked with a knife at the place where I held Humanities classes. My girl wasn’t safe somewhere I myself had spent a good eight years.
She was alone in a random washroom, being there before an early morning class. So, when an unknown person insisted on having her money and threatened her life, she fervently wished for anyone to come but no one did.
My girl did carry papery spray as well as other defensive gadgets ever since we explored ways to prevent crime against college students before she attended college.
Telling the assaulter that she needed to retrieve money from her pocket, she pulled out the pepper spray and sprayed for dear life. Fortunately, it was one of the self defense devices of which she was familiar with the usage.
Once the assaulter had his eyes shut, my daughter turned on her personal alarm and ran a great distance towards the main entrance, where she knew a security guard would have been stationed and tasked to prevent crime against college students.
He was caught and questioned quickly. It was discovered that he needed the cash to get some hallucinogens. It is because of these illegal drugs that I am adamant that the younger generation look into obtaining some tools to safeguard themselves.
I gave her a lift to the university then and even had my stun gun with me. Only, I was already en route to the professors’ lounge on the third floor at the moment of the attack.
In every class I have since taught, I make it a point to emphasize the use of self defense devices to prevent crime against college students. The lesson may not be a part of Humanities but is certainly essential to humanity.
